On Monday September 30, 2019, the Green Economy Caravan was held as part of the ‘’Green Caravan 2019’’ activity under the NAGE project (supported by EU). The event was also financially supported by the Ministry of Environment Republic of Serbia through the project ‘’Caravan of the Green Economy’’ which jointly implement Network for Rural Development of Serbia and organization UNECOOP from Paracin.
From 10th to 12th September 2019, the Rural development policy forum of SEE countries was held in Zlatibor (Serbia). The Forum is organized by national networks dealing with rural development, as umbrella organizations of the CSO’s of the Balkan countries and Development Foundation of Turkey. The Forum is financially supported by EU (through ALTER project) and Visegrad International Fund (through SINERGY project) and Zlatibor Eko Agrar Ltd.
On August 7, 2019, in Niš was held a round table on the topic "Implementation of LEADER Approach at the Local Level".
The roundtable was jointly organized by the Network for rural development of Serbia and the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water management with financially support by EU through ALTER project "Active Local Territories for Rural Economic Development" (as part of the activity "National platform for discussion about rural development policies”).
On July 26, 2019, in Novi Sad was held a round table on the topic "Implementation of LEADER Approach at the Local Level".
The roundtable was jointly organized by the Network for rural development of Serbia and the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water management with financially support by EU through ALTER project "Active Local Territories for Rural Economic Development" (as part of the activity "National platform for discussion about rural development policies”).
In the period from 2nd to 4th July 2019 in the hotel "Šumarice" in Kragujevac, a training on the topic "Financial management and procurement" was held.
The training was conducted within the Networking and Advocacy for Green Economy project (NAGE) funded by the EU, where the Rural Development Network of Serbia is one of the partners.
On May 29 and 30, 2019 in the village of Bogetići, the municipality of Niksic (Montenegro), training of trainers on the subject "Social entrepreneurship as a model of employment of marginalized groups" was conducted. The training was conducted as part of the project "Innovative Support for Employment of Rural Marginalized Groups - SineRgi", financed by the Visegrad International Fund, implemented by a consortium of non-governmental rural networks and organizations from the countries of the Western Balkans and Visegrad countries.
First Balkan Rural Parliament, 26 to 28 June 2018, was organised as part of the project “ALTER – Active Local Territories for Economic development of Rural Areas”, funded by the European Union. Taking part were over 60 representatives of rural development stakeholders and interest groups from the Balkan countries and Turkey, including civil society organisations and CSO networks, local and central authorities, young people, the donor community, and media representatives.
Rural development is very often viewed in the public and even by professionals in such a way that it is reduced only to agriculture and / or economic activity, or just to the infrastructure. In reality, rural development encompasses every segment of the lives of rural communities, including the daily services needed by the rural population (education, health, social protection ...), the economic activities that local people are dealing with, and the part of the activities that contribute to the added quality of life sport, culture, social life, infrastructure ...).
In the period from 8th to 10th April 2019 in the hotel "Šumarice" in Kragujevac, a training on the topic "Advocacy, lobbying, networking and constituents’ empowerment" was held.
The training of trainers "Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups" was implemented on 26th and 27th March 2019 in Durres (Albania). This activity is part of the project “Innovative Support to employment of Rural marginalized groups – SyneRgi” financed by the Visegrad International Fund. Its implementation is performed by the consortium of non-governmental networks and organisations from Western Balkan and Visegrad countries.
